Letter of Introduction

Dear People,

I cannot contain my excitement over my new apartment (Better described as a compartment) within this beautiful River Town along the banks of a major inland waterway, where I hope to establish a new Pro Life Apostolate! This word, apostolate, is used in the Catholic Church to describe a religious activity or mission. This web-based Apostolate will have as its primary mission to promote the sanctity of human life, and encourage a change of heart among those who don’t recognize that abortion is the greatest human rights tragedy facing the world today. I hope to accomplish this metanoia (change of heart) through prayer, education, and the promotion of pastoral works, political action, and financial support of organizations that have a global reach in this vital work.

Forgive my lack of southern hospitality, but in my anticipation over this new apostolate I have bypassed a proper introduction. My name is Rose Michael Bryo. I am a two month old embryo who resides in my mother’s womb, which is referred to above as my compartment. From this warm, dark, wet, protected place I will educate everyone about the complexities of my growth and development.  I will share my dreams and hopes for my life among you, introduce you to the groups and individuals involved in this battle, provide prayers to accomplish our goal that the pre-born child is a full member of homo sapiens, in need of legal protection.

I plan to feature saints that will serve as role models in this battle, and with permission from Franciscan Media I post The Saint of the Day when it is appropriate. The posted prayers will serve as inspiration for those fighting the Culture of Death, and will also be directed toward those in need of conversion. Our heavenly leaders in this prayer effort are Rosa Mystica (Virgin Mary) and St. Michael the Archangel.  Do you recognize who might have inspired my family when my name was chosen?

I will have a brief description of persons and organizations involved in this fight listed on my web site, and on a regular basis I hope to have one of these featured in more detail. The missions of these groups will be quite varied, so my hope is, the reader will find a field in which he or she shows an interest, then be inspired to enter the battle and work against this injustice with zeal. Sample letters are featured expressing thanksgiving to our mothers, and educating the medical community and governing representatives about the humanity of the unborn. Persons are encouraged to copy the letters or compose their own, in order to plea for the most basic Human Right of the Unborn - the Right to Life!

My second persona is that of an elderly, frail, feeble artist with a familial tremor who wishes to place visual reminders on this site, so people will be inspired to take action every day to promote this Metanoia that is so greatly needed. The name given to this persona is GrandMa Roses, and represents Rose’s father. Images played a key role in the demise of slavery in England and the U.S., and I hope to employ the images within the Grantham Collection to encourage people of good will to embrace a change of heart, and establish legal protection for the unborn. The images to study are those of the cold, steel instruments used by promoters of the Culture of Death. Please read the names of the instruments, and descriptions of their use, then apply your imagination. I have turned some of these ‘swords’ into plowshares. I prefer to display the instruments as opposed to harvested body parts. Please go to: www.abortioninstruments.com. Attention: Link does not work from this site. Copy link to your browser for access.

Shakespeare shares his poetic words with us about Mercy, and like the Bard, I have invented words to better describe those who speak untruths by the use of euphemisms. I quote St. Augustine when I discuss the unjust ruling of Roe v. Wade. I appeal to the intellect and one’s heart, while using my imagination to promote Mercy and Love toward the mother and the child in the womb.

I respectfully request your assistance in this effort, since, at age two months gestation, my brain has not developed fully. I ask you to pray for your own Metanoia, leave your slothful ways behind, abandon your torpid demeanor, and enter this battle with zeal! Our Creator will say:  “When you did it to one of the least of Mine, you did it to Me”. To quote my young niece:  “Hepp me!… Hepp me!…”, and St. Ignatious of Loyola - “Go forth and set the world on fire”.

   With Love,

   Rose Michael Bryo
