How sad was the recent vote taken in Ireland to approve the legalization of abortion!
Seeing the young people cheering in the streets, especially the women, left me bewildered, yet determined to continue my efforts to educate the people about the dignity of each person being formed by its Maker in the womb. One phrase uttered by Jesus on the cross comes to mind: “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do!” Personhood has been denied other classes of citizens previously, and civilization has come to its senses, and has recognized these wrongs, then instituted laws to protect those groups.
Articles written in Mercatornet and The Catholic Thing offer a reflection about this rejection of the sanctity of life by Ireland, and can be found by clicking on the links below:

Let us continue to pray that Ireland and people throughout the globe will experience a change of heart, cast off the indifference shown to our children in the womb, and energize a life of zeal fighting for the unborn.
"But I say to you that listen, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you. ... Give to everyone who begs from you; and if anyone takes away your goods, do not ask for them again. Do to others as you would have them do to you."
Luke 6:27-31
"You change your life by changing your heart."
